Rare early production set of five original CH29 “Sawbuck” dining chairs designed by Hans J. Wegner for Carl Hansen & Søn. Dating from the 1950s, this set features original manufacturer stamps on the underside of the seats, confirming authenticity and provenance.
Crafted in solid oak, the chairs have been professionally reupholstered in black skai, offering a clean and timeless appearance while remaining true to the character of the original design. The sculptural sawbuck frame and expressive joinery make the CH29 one of Wegner’s most recognizable and iconic dining chair designs.
Good vintage condition. The solid oak frames are sturdy and well preserved, showing normal age-related wear consistent with use. Please review the photos carefully (zoom recommended); they form an integral part of the description.
